The Physical Therapy Assistant provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. The Physical Therapy Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

Duties of the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) include, but are not limited to:

Functions as participating team member who contributes to total client care under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Administer treatment program in accordance with the Plan of Care.
• Teach activities of daily living.
