Definition:
Under the direction of the Director, the Physical Therapist develops, organizes, conducts and/or oversees an individualized, medically prescribed physical therapy plan of care to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. The Physical Therapist provides preventative instruction and rehabilitation of acute or prolonged dysfunction or pain with an emphasis on movement; therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents; exercise and other procedures to maximize functional independence.
