**Description:**
The Pharmacy Technician I – General (certified and licensed) provides safe, quality technical and non-technical functions which assist in provision of pharmaceutical care under the supervision and direction of a registered pharmacist in accordance with level of experience, education, policies and procedures.

Provides expanded knowledge and experience of the Pharmacy Technician I – General role. The entry level position is the first point of contact in providing customer service to patients, families, & members of the health care team (e.g., answers phones). Provides an administrative role (e.g., data gathering, authorizations) to coordinate and facilitate patient care. Work may include unit dose medication preparation, distribution, patient care area inspections, charging, crediting, packaging, stocking, sterile and non-sterile compounding per ministry workflow.
