**Description**

+ Responsible for maintaining sufficient levels of medications to meet the supply demands of all patient care areas, ambulatory clinics, and the pharmacy storage area, under the direction of Assistant Director for Pharmacy Procurement or Pharmacy Director Reviews current inventory levels of all products, orders drug-related products, reconciles and maintains records of all pharmaceuticals received.
+ Assists in assigning and updating inventory par levels based upon purchase history and usage.
+ Reports all drug shortages, temporarily out-of-stock items and difficult-to-purchase items to Drug Shortage Team.
+ Performs cost transfers to ambulatory clinics and other accounts, as applicable.
+ Interacts with vendors to secure cost effective, high quality products and services.
+ Coordinates the return and/or disposal of surplus and/or expired inventory.
