A managed care clinical pharmacist opportunity is available offering a fully remote schedule Monday through Friday, with rare weekend commitment a few times per year. This contract role requires a licensed pharmacist in Oregon, Washington, or California, with a minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in a managed care environment. Expertise handling prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings is essential.
This position focuses on delivering high-quality, cost-effective clinical pharmacy services. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist collaborates closely with medical directors, nurse case managers, physicians, and other providers to support coordinated care for health plan members. Key areas of responsibility include medication therapy management, population disease management, specialty pharmaceutical coordination, utilization review, and clinical policy development and implementation, including participation in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities.
