Permanent - Cost Accountant - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

Responsible for manufacturing level costs and control including cost accounting, bill of material audits, and cost analysis. Supports month-end close and special projects as requested.

JOB FUNCTION

• Perform daily costing of standard and custom products; conduct ad hoc cost analyses for operations.
• Conduct weekly investigation of ledger against sub-ledger differences based on the Frozen Cost Difference Report.
• Update costing elements: Quarterly updates to work centre rates, global costs, and inter-company pricing based on raw materials and budget changes.
• Review Bills of Materials (BOM) and routings daily to ensure correctness.
• Audit BOMs monthly to reflect the latest manufacturing practices.
• Maintain General Ledger Class Codes and Category Codes as required.
