Job Summary

Responsible for operating and managing the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgeries, ensuring safe cardiopulmonary bypass support for patients. Monitors and maintains patient physiological parameters, manages blood gas and electrolyte balance, and ensures safe initiation and termination of bypass procedures.

Also responsible for operating and troubleshooting perfusion-related equipment, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring availability of required consumables. Works closely with Surgeons and Anaesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes during cardiac procedures.

Qualifications & Clinical Competency Requirements

• Holds a recognised Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Perfusion or Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology, or an equivalent qualification in Cardiovascular Healthcare (Perfusion).
