**Job Description**

The Per Diem Hospital-Based Doula will join the efforts to improve birth outcomes and patient experiences for individuals delivering at Mount Sinai Health System by integrating doula services into the continuum of care for our obstetric patients.

The Per Diem Hospital-Based Doula will provide ongoing, non-medical emotional, physical, and informational support to pregnant and birthing individuals and their families during the prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.

**Qualifications**

+ Experienced doula with demonstrated expertise in prenatal, labor, and postpartum support
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Proof of completion of a birth and/or postpartum doula training of at least 30 hours from Doula of North America (DONA) or equivalent recognized organization (copy of original certificate required)
