JOB TITLE:       PEER SPECIALIST

FLSA:                NON-EXEMPT

DIVISION:        SERVICES

REPORTS TO:  DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES

LOCATION:      BRIARWOOD (QUEENS)

SALARY:           $35,000.00 - $40,000.00

 

SUMMARY:

The Peer Specialist will assist with client basic social service's needs. Individual will work in conjunction with the social services team to monitor and provide appropriate basic services to individual clients at a 200+ bed men’s shelter. Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Perform daily inspections of all client areas

+ Respond to incidents as appropriate

+ Perform regular area inspections to ensure that rules are adhered too

+ Monitor sitting areas and cafeteria to ensure all clients are adhering to schedules and are in proper locations
