Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support a high-volume payroll environment for a growing organization in Hayward. This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential to convert to a full-time role. The ideal candidate has experience auditing large volumes of timecards and a solid understanding of California labor laws.


Key Responsibilities

+ Process and audit high-volume employee timecards for accuracy and compliance

+ Review payroll data including hours worked, overtime, meal/rest breaks, and pay codes

+ Ensure payroll is processed in accordance with California labor laws and company policies

+ Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner

+ Partner with HR and managers to verify timekeeping and employee records

+ Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation

+ Assist with payroll reporting and support audits as needed
