**Position Purpose:**

Provide coordination and support for Mercy Patient Logistics teams to facilitate patient admissions, discharges, intra-hospital and inter-facility transfer processes. Assisting the departments to ensure appropriate placement of patients based on diagnosis and physician preference with consideration of bed availability at both acute and rural facilities. Responsible for monitoring census capacity and alerting the leadership team upon trending thresholds in various markets. Responsible for maintaining accurate bed availability information by analyzing information received on the electronic bed board and from clinical staff to coordinate patient assignments and transfers.
