Job Summary

The Patient Account Analyst processes payments to facilitate even cash flow for the organization.

Responsibilities And Scope

+ Promptly and accurately processes payments to facilitate even cash flow for the organization.

+ Reviews all accounts on the assigned portion of Accounts Receivable via the Aged Trial Balance and batches.

+ Appropriately posts or refunds accounts to bring accounts to a zero-balance status.

+ Resolves minor problems, answers questions, and uses good judgment to insure that patient care is not compromised.

+ Proactively responds to problems relative to system procedure errors, i.e. coding, registration, charging, posting, authorization issues.

+ Reviews and analyzes daily/weekly monthly reports to ensure timely filing.

+ Audits payments, allowances, rejected claims to identify and resolve claims/EOP/EOB revenue cycle issues.
