**Description:**
The Patient Access Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and families, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring accurate registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance. This role plays a critical part in supporting patient satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and timely reimbursement.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Provide patient‑focused customer service to patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff
+ Perform inpatient and/or outpatient registration, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information
+ Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, pre‑certifications, and authorizations
+ Explain financial responsibility, including copays, deductibles, and self‑pay estimates, in a clear and compassionate manner
