Job Summary : Performs technical preparation of cytology slides from ThinPrep samples for microscopic examination; presents quality control screening of slides.
Essential Functions:

• Identify cytology specimens.
• Create sample worksheets utilizing dMDL.
• Label cytology imaging slides with patient identifiers.
• Preparing slides utilizing ThinPrep 2000
• Operate Veristain
• Operate Tissue-Tek Film cover slipper for cytology imaging slides
• Load and operate ThinPrep Imaging System
• Process sample worksheets
• Manual preparation of cytology slide using GAA protocol

Additional Responsibilities:

• Coordination of waste disposal
• Coordination with Cytology manager
• Record keeping
