The Department of Pathology serves a Hospital (Level I Trauma Center), a Children's and Women's Hospital (currently building a state of art Emergency Room which will open early 2024), a cancer center, a Patient Care Center, a free-standing ED, and multiple clinics throughout the greater coastal area
The clinical laboratories of the health system perform over 3 million tests/year. The transfusion medicine section is accredited by the AABB and College of American Pathologists (CAP).
