Job Title: Pathologist Assistant - Concord, CA

Shift: Mon -Fri (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)

Responsibilities:

This is a technical Pathology specialized position in the clinical pathology laboratory and general laboratory backgrounds are not accepted.

·Under the supervision of the Pathologist's Assistant Lead, prepares human surgical specimens for gross description and dictation into the Laboratory Information System (LIS);

·Performs dissection and submits tissue for histologic examination

·Ensures correct patient identification and accurate specimen and cassette labeling

·Obtains pertinent clinical history and takes pictures as appropriate for the dissection of specimens.

·Ability to work at client sites as needed to support client needs and optimally manage workload for all operations.

Requirements:

· Certification Required: PA (ASCP) certified
