Job Description
- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods according to standard recipes and quality standards
- Assist in daily pastry kitchen operations including mise en place, preparation, baking, and finishing
- Ensure consistent product quality, presentation, taste, and portion control
- Follow hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with GMP/HACCP requirements
- Monitor and manage ingredient usage, stock levels, and report shortages to senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry section, equipment, and workstation at all times
- Support new product development and seasonal menu creation when required
- Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff or commis
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce wastage
