Position Overview
**_POSITION SUMMARY:_**
The Pastry Cook will produce a variety of baked goods for various dining and retail outlets on property.
**_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:_**
+ Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients accurately
+ Knead, roll, cut, and prepare dough
+ Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking equipment
+ Monitor food items during the baking process
+ Decorate, glaze, apply icing, and prepare toppings for baked goods
+ Train new staff on company philosophies, practices, and products
+ Evaluate food ingredients for quality
+ Operate slicing, cutting, and wrapping equipment while observing consistently all company mandatory safety regulations
+ Create new recipes, incorporating locally milled flours, regional produce and seasonal products as part of menu development
