Position Overview
Position Summary:
Monitor health status of persons with disabilities and the senior population. Provide nursing services within a defined scope of practice. Monitor the building to ensure the security and safety of clients, staff and guests; and take appropriate action in an emergency situation.
Requirements:
Completion of a vocational, college or other approved program for licensed practical nurses and registration with a regulatory body are required. Must have successfully completed the Canadian Practical Nurses Registration Examination and possess a current Registered Nursing Certificate of Competence for the Province of Ontario.Knowledge of Behaviour Strategies is an asset. May be required to pursue a certificate in bliss symbols and/or sign language.Experience as an RPN working with persons with a disability and the senior population is an asset.
