DUTIES OF THE POSITION

: Studio or Ensemble Instruction: studio instruction, chamber ensembles (classical, world music, and jazz), collaborative piano, accompanying of ensembles and/or students; Classroom Instruction: music theory, music history, music technology, sight-singing, class piano, basic brass, basic strings, basic woodwinds, basic voice, basic percussion, and general education coursework in music and music appreciation. All instructional assignments require office hours in accordance with the University Office Hour Policy. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. The policy and expectation of California State University are that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California.
