PRN: PRN staff are required to work no less than one 12-hour shift per month after orientation. Orientation should plan to no less than 1-2 shifts a week.
General Summary
Responds to EMS calls and performs a variety of functions related to the care and treatment of patients suffering from urgent and emergent disease and/or injury states in accordance with appropriate rules, regulations, and protocols. according to PA DOH EMS Act and scope of practice.
Essential Functions:
Responds to EMS calls, observes safety policies, and operates an emergency vehicle with due regard for others.
Prepares, hangs, monitors, and administers I.V. fluids.
Provides health care instruction/education to patient and family members.
Prepares patients for scheduled procedures and assists in patient assessment.
