The Paralegal provides guidance and assistance to physicians, allied health staff, attorneys and other parties, internally and externally, with respect to legal matters affecting Mayo Clinic charitable activities and fundraising. The Paralegal is responsible for managing a large and diversified workload in support of attorneys and clients that requires strong decision-making capabilities, a high level of independent judgment and a good understanding of the organization and its business needs. Under general direction, the Paralegal completes work at an advanced level with most work requiring limited attorney revision. Duties include review of probate, estate/trust and tax matters and related court documents, correspondence from attorneys, advisors and benefactors, as well as historical information in the Development database related to vested financial interest.
