Operate the power plant according to procedures and requirements, including starting, loading, unloading and shutting down the complete plant and systems.
Support the ASCE/SCE/PSCE to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set‑up and operation of the Power Station.
Have sound knowledge of safe operating parameters, controls, precautions and safety interlocks when starting and loading plant equipment to avoid damage and run the plant most efficiently.
Troubleshoot, analyse and test plant process conditions when necessary.
Manage, monitor and control plant process operation from the control room DCS.
Record plant operating data and report defects and abnormalities.
Carry out isolation/normalisation of equipment as required by the Permit To Work System.
Understand and be familiar with plant chemistry, including handling of plant waste discharge.
