Position Overview
Summary This position resides within the Secretariat for Special Operations (SSO), Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (OASW(SO/LIC)). Under 10 U.S.C. ยงยง 138 and 167, the ASW(SO/LIC) is the principal civilian advisor to the Secretary of War for special operations and oversees SOF readiness, resources, equipment, and civilian personnel. Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Conducts operations research, systems analysis, and quantitative studies to evaluate programs, initiatives, and resource requirements. Analyzes organizational performance, budget execution, and program data to identify trends, assess impacts, and develop recommendations. Supports planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) activities through research, modeling, and analytical assessments.
