Flexible Work, Better Balance
ALBA is the Spanish synchrotron light source, a large research infrastructure operating ten beamlines, complementary facilities, and an Electron Microscopy Center, currently constructing multiple more beamlines and expanding the Electron Microscopy Center while integrating advanced data analytics. It is located in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain) and is funded by the Spanish and Catalan governments. The synchrotron light produced by 3 GeV electrons serves thousands of researchers across fields such as catalysis, health, energy, environment, communication technologies, and cultural heritage.
CELLS is looking for an Operations Group Head to lead the team of Operators that operate the ALBA accelerators in the Operations Section of the ALBA Accelerator Division. The synchrotron operates 24 h, 7 days a week, so operators work rotating shifts and on‑call duties.
