Position Overview
The Department of Radiation Physics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas is seeking a clinically oriented Therapeutic Medical Physicist for a full-time PhD faculty position. The candidate's primary clinical duties will be to provide medical physics clinical services to patient treatment using standard and advanced treatment techniques, including proton therapy, perform treatment machine quality assurance including acceptance testing and commissioning, perform treatment planning, approve and implement technical procedures prior to clinical use, perform quality assurance for patient record dosimetric information, involvement in informatics development and direction at the Proton Therapy Center in Houston.
