The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Michale E. Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine and Research is located in Bastrop, Texas on 300+ beautiful acres with ~2500 nonhuman primates including neotropical species, macaques, baboons, and chimpanzees. As a veterinarian in the Department of Comparative Medicine, the open faculty position provides oversight for the clinical care responsibilities for breeding colonies and experimental animals, implements animal care and welfare standards, and collaborates with investigators by providing research services. This position will provide clinical care to new world and/or old world nonhuman primate species and may support the centralized services of surgery, x-ray, and ultrasonography of this colony.
