**Job Description**

**UW Medical Center - Montlake** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Clinical Nurse Specialist** to work within our **Oncology team** .

**WORK SCHEDULE**

+ 40 hours per week
+ Day shift

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Provides expertise and support to nurses caring for oncology patients at the bedside, helps drive practice changes throughout the organization, and ensures the use of national guidelines, best practices, and evidence-based care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes
+ Consults with staff regarding assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of oncologic patient care. Serves as a role model and provides information and resources to cultivate staff skills and enhance nursing practice.
+ Coordinates care delivery for complex patients, including identification of ethical issues and resources to assure safety and quality patient care.
