Position Overview
Drive safety initiatives as an On-Site Health and Safety Coordinator, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of safety within the Niagara area workforce. Make a significant impact in maintaining a safe working environment.
This position reports to the Health and Safety Manager and involves direct engagement with site teams to uphold safety standards. You will be responsible for developing training materials, conducting safety inspections, and actively participating in incident investigations, all while promoting best practices in health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure day-to-day compliance with safety legislation
• Assist in the creation of Safe Operating Procedures
• Conduct inspections and address hazards proactively
• Maintain up-to-date safety records and reports
• Engage in safety discussions during JHSC meetings
Requirements:
• 1–2 years in health and safety roles
