Overview

Under the direction of the Superintendent with responsibility for Multilingual Language Learner (MLL), the successful candidate will work directly in schools across the CDSBEO. The Multilingual Language Learner Consultant will work strategically with MLL students to support individualized learning and achievement. They will provide teaching demonstrations of best practices and instruction of assessment to classroom teachers, in addition to demonstrations of high-yield strategies to support MLLs in the classroom. The MLL coach will observe and coach teachers through co-planning in effective instructional practices and supports for MLLs. They will collaborate with other departments, such as Student Success, Curriculum and Special Education, and the other MLL Consultant to support curricular scaffolds for MLLs and participate in ongoing professional development and training.
