Works under the directionand supervision of the occupational therapist. The occupational therapist assistantimplements selected components of the therapeutic interventions and activitiesof daily living, obtains data related to the interventions provided, and makesmodifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient asdirected by the occupational therapist or to ensure patient's safety andcomfort. This may include adaptation ormodification of the environment or objects within the environment to facilitateengagement and participation.
