New Hanover County is actively seeking a Nutritionist to join our dynamic Public Health Department and play a vital role in serving the citizens of our County.Grant-funded through the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) state grant, this position provides nutritional assessment and education to WIC participants where duties include conducting interviews and reviewing data, dietary information, and medical histories; developing and documenting nutritional care plans; providing nutritional counseling; referring clients to other agencies for services; participating in workshops; and reviewing professional publications to stay current on nutrition and public health issues.
