The new hire Graduate Nurse (GN), must be a successful graduate of an accredited school of nursing and eligible to take the NCLEX exam for the first time NCLEX-national licensing exam for registered nurses Authorization to Test- after a board of nursing declares a graduate eligible, they send an authorization to test email to the graduate which enables them to schedule an NCLEX test date. It is expected that the Authorization to Test document will be provided to the Hospital prior to hire. The Graduate Orientee will work under the supervision of a registered nurse until licensure has been verified by the Human Resources Department.
