**Description**



The Nursing Assistant – Associate is the entry point for the Providence Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program. The program provides training and support for individuals with no, or very little, direct healthcare experience. The successful applicant is provided an educational program that prepares the Nursing Assistant – Associate for state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Once certification is obtained, the Nursing Assistant – Associate is advanced to the Nursing Assistant – Journey position. Upon completion of the entire apprenticeship program, the Nursing Assistant – Journey is advanced to the Nursing Assistant – Senior position.
