Summary The Northeast Ohio VA Healthcare System is recruiting for a Nursing Assistant within Ambulatory Care. Responsibilities The Nursing Assistant duties include, but are not limited to: Provides patients' personal hygiene by assisting with bathing/showering, dressing and toileting. Provides whole health modalities as appropriate. Provides ADLs by assisting with serving meals and/or feeding patients diets as ordered. Ambulates and transfers patients including the use of assistive duties, turning and positioning patients that are in the bed or chair. Uses fall prevention techniques including bed/chair alarms where permitted. Answers patient call lights and requests. Completes routine rounds on patients to assist with needs such as comfort, reporting pain to RN, LPN. Documents all nursing care in electronic health record (EHR) Attends all safety huddles and debriefings in designed services and provides meaningful input and concerns regarding patient safety.
