Summary The Nursing Assistant - Acute Care provides complex nursing care independently as a member of the nursing care team by assisting higher graded Nursing Assistants, licensed nursing staff, and other members of the care team. They provide care under close supervision, and are learning to perform complex nursing skills. Responsibilities Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Nursing Assistant - Acute Care assists licensed nursing staff in the care of patients/residents receiving preventive, acute, sub-acute chronic, maintenance, and hospice care. Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Appropriately utilize glucose monitoring machine to collect and document appropriate glucose readings for assigned veteran. Performs their duties on an assigned patient area and using a team nursing approach.
