6 South is a 22-bed acuity adaptable unit at Butterworth Hospital that is capable of managing both critical and non critical care patients admitted with advanced cardiopulmonary care needs. 6 South specializes in patients with advanced heart failure, pre or post heart or lung transplant, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, and respiratory failure necessitating Bipap, Hi-Flo Nasal Cannula.
