**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As a Surgical Complex Specialty Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with the physician/medical director, you will assume clinical responsibility for tasks performed within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice. This includes taking patient's history, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis, and providing care and management for various illnesses and disease prevention.

Every day, you may assist in patient admission, transfer, or discharge. You will make appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies, and participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans.
