Key Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care and community health services to clients;
• Develops, facilitates, implements, and modifies client and family education/teaching based on the needs of clients;
• Conducts health surveillance and preventative activities that may improve the health of the population;
• Provides expert and specialized knowledge of primary health care related to nursing in Nunavut.

Qualifications and Experience

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are usually obtained through a Graduate Level Advanced Nursing Practice degree or a Certificate in Advanced Nursing Practice or Nurse Practitioner- Primary Health Care Diploma. Consideration will be given to candidates who have successfully completed a Nurse Practitioner competency challenge process through a Nursing Regulatory‑Licensing body.
