**Job Description**

The Nurse Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse with broad knowledge and skills, a clinical leader in the daily function of the unit, with oversight of quality patient care delivery, and who facilitates an environment of care that supports quality nursing practice and clinical excellence.

**Qualifications**

**Education Requirements**

+ Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing and master’s degree in nursing or healthcare-related field or be enrolled in a program preferred

**Experience Requirements**

+ 3 years minimum demonstrated clinical and nursing expertise working in a staff nurse role on a cardiac unit.
+ Three - five years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting

**Licensing and Certification Requirements (if applicable)**

+ Licensed as a registered nurse, Issuing Agency: Department of Health/Office of Professions in the state of New York.
