Nurse Extern - Nursing Support - PRN - Rotating

GENERAL SUMMARY

+ Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse, performs specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient using the nursing process.

+ Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.

+ Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.

+ Recognizes and participates in own continuing education.


REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

+ High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

+ Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.

+ The completion of two clinical rotations, one of which must be Med/Surg 1 (in an acute care setting).
