Summary You will serve as a NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST EXAMINER in the NON-NUCLEAR INSPECTION AND NDT DIVISION, QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will perform visual inspection, liquid penetrant inspection magnetic particle inspection, and eddy current inspection or ultrasonic thickness, during the removal and overhaul on both nuclear and nonnuclear ship/boats. You will participate in conducting audits, submitting reports, and recommendations. You will investigate and submit reports on assigned problem areas and special projects. You will perform inspections as a preventative maintenance measure on critical systems on nuclear submarines, welds and components.
