Position Overview
**Description:** Performs non-destructive testing (NDT) on materials, manufactured items, and components. Inspects metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials, parts, and assemblies for defects using automated and manual NDT methods including ultrasound, infrared thermography, radiography, penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, and visual testing. Reads and interprets technical procedures and work instructions to conduct evaluations for acceptance/rejection of hardware/products. Provides other technical support for all LM Space programs and sites. Works primarily with a team but also works independently to perform day-to-day tasks. Additionally, works with remote teams of NDT personnel. Supports program-required inspections during off-shifts, sometimes with short notice, to ensure program hardware production is on-schedule.
