• Nocturnists have to run rapids and codes. ICU providers handle ICU Hospitalists do not have to.
• No required procedures
• Shifts are 12-hours (7:00 pm 7:00 am), 7 on/7 off.
• The average daily census is 15-18 patients per physician per day.
