About the Program

As part of the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC), located in Stavanger, Norway, the program delivers training and exercises to improve the Alliance's operational capabilities. The JWC focuses on:

• Training and exercises: conducting large‑scale joint operational‑level training events, simulations, and exercises.
• Doctrine development: contributing to the development and refinement of NATO doctrines and concepts.
• Operational support: providing expert support to NATO operations, missions, and exercises.

The JWC's Exercise Control (EXCON) structure comprises staff from various backgrounds to establish the conditions needed by the training audience (TA) to achieve exercise aims.
