NewsNation is looking for a Segment Producer to join the team for its nightly program On Balance w/ Leland Vittert. This role involves contributing story ideas, compiling elements, and crafting engaging live segments and packages based on a wide range of topics ranging from political news to domestic news to international news. The Segment Producer collaborates closely with the Executive Producer, Senior Producers, and Line Producer to ensure accurate and compelling broadcasts. The position is based at the network's offices in New York.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Pitch stories and segment ideas regularly

Research topics using the Internet, video archives, and other information sources.

Select strongest possible elements to help best tell stories.

Write, organize, and produce scripts and elements for show and interview segments or packages.
