News Editor/Presenter (On-Site) (English Services)

Position: Permanent Employee on Secondment (Fixed Term). Language: English and French proficiency required.

This role requires full-time on-site presence weekdays 11 am‑7:15 pm. The successful candidate will lead afternoon newscasts for radio and digital platforms, working closely with the Radio Active afternoon program and coordinating coverage. Expect to gather, prepare, and present daily news, handling live breaking stories and maintaining up-to‑date content.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, line up and deliver newscasts and news breaks.
• Collaborate with journalists across platforms and programs to chase breaking news and keep newscasts up‑to‑date.
• Write and edit scripts; cut audio clips and package stories.
• Conduct interviews on and off air.
• Operate the studio audio board during live newscasts.
