Position Overview
Position Summary:
The neurodiagnostic lab technician prepares patients for and conducts routine and specialized electroneurodiagnostic (END) procedures; collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results. Tests include EEG, EMG, Evoked Potentials, Nerve Conduction Studies, and home sleep testing. Technician’s assist physician with EMG studies.
Education, License & Cert:
High school graduate or GED Additional clinical certification preferred
Experience:
One year experience working in a healthcare setting.
Essential Functions:
1. Accurately performs neurodiagnostic testing according to standards.
2. Measures and accurately applies electrodes (according to the 10‐20 system) in a timely manner and with appropriate impedances.
3. Performs tests in lab, patient’s bedside and/or ICU.
