Working as a neonatal nurse, your day-to-day tasks may include:
Monitoring and managing the vital signs of premature or critically ill newborns, including temperature, heart rate, and breathingAdministering medications and treatments as prescribed by physiciansProviding feeding support to newborns who may have difficulties nursing or require specialised feeding methodsCollaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including neonatologists, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for each infantEducating and supporting families on neonatal care practices, including feeding techniques, monitoring infant growth and development, and addressing any concerns or questionsPerforming specialised procedures, such as placing intravenous lines or assisting with respir...
