The Engineer is responsible for planning, evaluating the technical quality assurance and testing of the shipboard Navigation systems to include the Ship’s Nav data, AN/WSN-7(V) Ring Laser Gyro Navigator (RLGN), GPS, Global Positioning system-Based Positioning, Navigation & Timing Service (GPNTS), Voice & Satellite communications with collateral Exterior Communication (EXCOM) responsibilities at times (HF, UHF, and VHF radios; Link 4, 11, 16 terminals; SATCOM equipment).
